Dr. Nathan Pinskier, MBBS, FRAGCP, FAAQHC, FAAPM, Dip Prac Man, CPM, is a Co-Owner of a Melbourne based group of general practices Medi7. Dr. Pinskier is Melbourne GP with a long-standing involvement in primary health care, e-health, information technology, accreditation and practice management. He has 25 years of experience in practice management, practice software, particular information technology, management systems, standards, quality, clinical governance and risk management in primary care sector. He is a surveyor with the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQUA). He trained as a medical practitioner. He worked nationally for a decade as a general practice surveyor (with Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd).
His interests and expertise in the health sector are in the areas of practice management, practice software, particular information technology, management systems, standards, quality, clinical governance and risk management. Dr. Pinskier was involved in the development and implementation of the information security standards for the general practice sector.
He has been a Director of Peninsula Health since September 15, 2015. He serves as board member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers. For the last 12 years, he has been a director of a private general practice company, Healthcare United. He serves as a director of a Melbourne based group of general practices Medi7. He served as Independent Non Executive Director of Global Health Ltd., from April 1, 2008 to November 29, 2012. In 2007, he was appointed to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) as a sessional panel member.
He is the chair of the Royal Australian College of General Practice National Standing Committee for eHealth and the Medical Director of the Australian Locum Medical Service. He is a member of numerous Commonwealth health-related committees and has worked with industry advisory groups.
Dr. Pinskier holds a Diploma in Practice Management from the University of New England Partnerships and holds Fellowships with the Australian Association of Practice Managers (AAPM) and the Australasian Association for Quality in Health Care (AAQHC).
